The town lies at the borders of Massif de l'Esterel, a wonderful reddish volcanic mountain range. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't that nice. - The ostriches!
The coat of arms of Leoben is an ostrich. Apparently, they were considered as the only animals being able to eat iron. And since this is a mining town... ostriches are the obvious choice. - San Gimignano

- Giotto's Campanile
Giotto stared building this tower in 1334. He combined white marble from Carrara, green marble from Prato, and red marble from Siena. The tower was completed in 1359. - Giotto's Campanile

This wonderful building was bombed in WWII, completely demolished seven years later and rebuilt in 1999.
