Santuario della Porziuncola in Assisi
Around the shrine the whole giant church was built to protect it. Notice the frescoes inside the church inside the church. This was one of the churches that Saint Francis restored and the Franciscan movement started.

There were several flags in the church, including this one with an angry-looking fish. Actually, the flags represent different districts (contrada) of Siena. This one represents Onda, a district of carpenters. And that is a dolphin.
